MoMo Card is an MTN Mobile Money Companion card which mirror’s your MTN Mobile Money Wallet issued on the gh-link platform. The MoMo Card allows MTN Mobile Money wallet holders have access to the funds on their wallet via a card and can be used on multi-channels (ATM, WEB and POS). This card is a debit card that brings convenience and easy access to funds on your wallet for transactional purposes. The MoMo Card is similar to a normal bank debit card, however, it is not linked to your bank account.
You qualify to apply for the MoMo Card if you are an MTN Mobile Money customer. Visit any Ecobank branch or MTN service center with a valid ID to pick up your instant MoMo Card
The MoMo Card is Chip and PIN protected; hence it reduces the incidence of fraud and card duplication.
This Card is separate from your bank account, it is linked to your MTN Mobile Money wallet and can be acquired irrespective of whether you have a bank account or not. It is secure and convenient.
The Card can be loaded with Ghana Cedis
Currently your MoMo Card is restricted to be used in Ghana only.
Reloading your MoMo Card is stress free; you either reload from Mobile Money wallet, Official MTN office or go to any Ecobank branch in Ghana to load your card. You can also reload anytime your balance is zero except in the case where the card is expired.
You can view your card balance and any other transaction history via ATM, MoMo Card App, Ecobank Portal or Mobile Money Account.
Yes. Your MoMo Card holders can use their card to make domestic online payments where gh-link is accepted.
Call the Ecobank Customer Services Centre immediately or log such incident on the MoMo Card App. Your card will be replaced and you will be back in control of your money. Yes, you will be charged a fee for a new card.
Yes, you can have an additional card either as a backup card or for purposes of security when the primary card is lost.
You can visit any Ecobank branch for the necessary procedures to be carried out to obtain the new card in an event where the card has either expired or is nearing its expiration date.
